Volunteer roles/google forms

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way that we can get capabilities to create Volunteer sign ups with the ability to track quantities of specific requested items that we need.

Our old website would allow us to do such things. This works for us when we need to collect donations for certain events (i.e. 10 boxes of Oreos, Cases of water, etc.) We can use a Google Form link to make this work but we would really like to have this ability on the website.

If this doesn’t make sense please feel free to call me at any time.

Hi Aryanne,

By the holidays should be fine. I'm sure it is the same way for you, August and September are very hectic months where we help get everyone up to speed. The good thing is that by October things always suddenly settle down for the rest of the year.

Thank you for getting back to me regarding this request.

I understand that this may not be an easy task. If it is possible that we could have this done before Christmas Break (December 21st) as we would actually like to see the Teacher Grant Form and Check Request Form available on our website first.

Hi Aryanne,

Did you have a time frame in mind for this? I ask because adding a quantity will take a bit of effort as it would be need on events both with and without time slots. It will likely be a few weeks before we could begin to work on it.

Let me check with Tier two - I was thinking set up an event "Oreos' and have 40 volunteers - would that work? Let me refer to Tier Two -

Yes I know that’s how I can get parents to volunteer for specific roles but that feature doesn’t allow to me determine the quantity of such item.

Example:
Requesting donation for (40) 12ct boxes of Oreo Multipacks

A parent is can volunteer to purchase this item per your site, but can not identify how many they want to purchase. Nor does it track the quantity needed for other viewers. In other words it's not decreasing the amount needed.

Does that make sense?

Hi Aryanne,

TGIF! Use Manage Events page - Board Only tab/Website Builder - Manage Events/Calendar page. Create an event, then scroll down under the text box to the box 'Allow volunteering for this event', enter the number of volunteers needed. Save the event first, then go back in to the event and use the link 'Manage Volunteer Roles' to further define the role if needed -
