Credit Card Question

Mike,

My computer does not have a working speaker.  I was able to get what I needed to set up payment by credit card. HOWEVER, I do not understand how we get the money from the credit card company and what, if any, delay there is in the processing.  I understand that there is a fee.  Can you point me in the right direction to get the info needed.  I don't want to start accepting credit cards if I don't fully understand the process.  And, what is the draw back to accepting so many credit cards (american xpress, discover, visa, master card, etc.)

Lastly, does our Paperless PTO membership include credit card processing?  If not, what is missing.

Thank you.

Hi Jody,

Credit card processing is included in our program. You simply start offering items for sale and then people can pay for those items via your website.

There is a 3.95% charge per transaction. If you have an order for $100, you will net $96.05.

You do not need to worry about a merchant account. The Paperless PTO takes care of this. As your families make purchases from your website the charges go through the ACH network to the credit card companies and banks. The funds eventually return to our system which then disburses them to your checking account on the 10th and 25th of each month. This is done electronically.

Funds from transactions that occured between 1st and 15th of the month are sent on the 25th. Those from 16th through the last day of the month are sent on the 10th. You simply key in your account and routing number on the MANAGE PTO page of the website builder and everthing will happen in the background.

You can track orders on the website and they are broken down by committee. You will also receive and email notice every time a payment is being made. It shows the amont for each committee while the deposit into your account is a single sum.

I don't see any drawbacks in using all four card types.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
